DIY Healthy Dog Treats

Are you judging me yet? Yes, I 100% made organic dog treats for my little fur baby. I always rolled my eyes when I heard my friends say that they made their dogs dog treats. Like, for real? Well, I guess I cant roll my eyes anymore…

Before we get into the details.. World, I would like you to meet Dozer. The cutest Boxer on the planet. He is 95 pounds of pure love. He also thinks that he is a 10 pound lap dog.. that’s fun. Historically, Boxers have very sensitive stomachs. We only feed him organic grain free dog food, organic dog treats and peanut butter. He will wake up out of a deep sleep at the sound of the peanut butter jar opening and the smell of sweet sweet peanut butter. So, when I found these peanut butter treats, I was sold. While making these treats, he sat right by my side, drooling and smacking his lips.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup 100% organic pumpkin puree
  • ½ organic peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 ¾ cup of oat flour

Add all ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, mix on medium speed until all combined. Should have a fudg-ey texture, not sticky like cookie dough.

Put the mixture in between two sheets of parchment paper and roll out until ¼ inch thick. Use a cookie cutter, or knife and cut small squares.

Put treats onto parchment paper lined cookie sheets.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until dry and firm.
