DIY Theme Park Button Picture Frame

My husband and I are obsessed going to the theme parks. Living in Orlando, FL makes it so easy to go to the parks. We have season passes to both parks and got once or twice a month. So over the years we have collected a ton of the theme park buttons that they give you when you are celebrating an event. I came across a box of them and was trying to figure out what I could to do display them. I started reminiscing about all fo the events we have celebrated at the parks. From birthdays, to anniversaries, to promotions to our engagement to getting married – I wanted to be able to display them and not have them get lost in the back of a closet.

So, I decided to make a frame out of them and hang it up in our house so we can enjoy it!

Materials Needed:

  • Wood frame
  • Theme Park Buttons
  • Hot glue gun with hot glue refills
  • Spray paint

Start by spray-painting your wooden frame. I decided to use a bright red color to go with the bright colors in the buttons. Spray painting is one of my favorite DIY projects. I have a tub of 10-15 different colors of spray paint along with plastic gloves to wear and a box of cardboard that I have kept over the years so my front yard doesn’t have paint splotches all over the grass. I am speaking from experience – I once have 4-5 different spots with all different colored grass – I liked it, my husband, not so much. Lame.

Once the frame is dry, you can get started. I put the buttons on the frame to try and configure how I wanted them to look. Then started gluing.

Once dry, hang up and enjoy!! I am going to print out a picture of my husband and I at Disney and put in the in frame.

Love & Sparkle,
