Sweet Creamy Coleslaw

Every time I go to a barbeque, I always reach for the coleslaw first. It’s the best on a super hot Florida summer day. So, now that summertime is here, I want to share my favorite coleslaw recipe with you. Not only is it delicious, but it takes 5 minutes. What’s better than that?

You start with a store bought bag of slaw mix. You are more than welcome to shred your own veggies, but why not just buy it in a bag and save yourself some time?

This makes a great side dish, or addition to a pulled pork sandwich (which is my all time fav). Have you ever had it on a hot dog? Game changer!!


  • 1 (16 oz bag) coleslaw mix
  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup of white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon celery salt

In a medium bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar and celery salt until well blended. Add the coleslaw mix and stir well until coated.


Cover and refrigerate 1 to 2 hours before serving. I usually like to mix it together the night before and let it marinate overnight.
